EBS Engineering
and Construction Limited offer several technologies for foundation repair and augmentation systems for stabilizing/lifting foundations or retrofitting existing foundations to increase load capacities. Micropiles or helical piers are installed at intervals around the perimeter of the existing foundation at affected locations. Independent of the structure, the piles are extended to depths which can sustain the load requirement.
Helical piers or screw piles can be used in most soil conditions. Helical piers do not vibrate while being installed nor do they create any spoils to be removed from the site, which make them advantageous in many applications. Micropiles are used when high loads or bedrock embedment are necessary. Micropiles involve drilling a hole in the soil or rock and placing a steel bar in it (say a Diwydag bar) and grouting it into place. Specially engineered brackets are attached at the ends of the piles and secured to the existing foundation.
A good contractor needs to have two strong elements: the right equipment and the right people. EBS has both!! We have the equipment to repair and retrofit foundations in spaces where other equipment is unable to access. Our experienced professionals can
evaluate the soil conditions on your site in combination with the loads applied by the structure to propose a cost effective solution. All installing personnel are thoroughly trained and certified in installation procedures and are supported by the extensive technical-support services of EBS Engineering and Construction Limited.
