New Mausoleum Supported on Chance Helical Piles

Helical Pile InstallationA new mausoleum was to be built in an existing cemetery. It needed to be built close to property lines and adjacent to an existing residential area. Chance Helical Piles were chosen because they could be installed with no vibrations and spoils reducing construction traffic through the cemetery.

New Condominium Supported with Helical Piles

Deep Foundation Helical Piles used to support condominium. A new condominium tower was to be built on site where an existing factory had been removed years before. The Chance Helical Piles were chosen due to the ability of the pile to naviagte the surface soils with small obstructions and penetrate the cobble rich material (SPT>100).

Design Build Micropile Shoring

BDesign Build Micropile Shoring in Ontarioell Canada needed to replace an existing manhole with a manhole on the city road. Existing structures/footings in close proximity to the construction area needed protection. Shoring was designed and installed using steel cased micropiles closely spaced around the perimeter of the excavation.

Seismic Load Resistance Using Helical PilesPlans for a new hospital in Woodstock, Ontario were formulated and designed in 2002 using the 1995 Ontario Building Code. The construction of the project was postponed until 2007, at which time the structure was required to meet new seismic design requirements of the 2006 Ontario Building Code. Chance Helical Piles were determined to be quickest and most cost effective solution.
