This paper presents the results of full-scale field testing of reinforced helical pulldown micropiles installed in clayey soils and resting on sandy soils. The piles were tested under monotonic and one way cyclic axial loadings.

The paper discusses how the empirical relationship can be conservative when estimating helical pile capacity in compression, and load testing can result in more efficient designs. Click here to read this paper.
