A new trend is emerging within the construction industry green retrofits of existing buildings. Helical Piers and Micropiles are a strong solution they are installed at intervals around the perimeter of the existing foundation at affected locations.

An existing cast in place retaining wall was to be used as a foundation wall for a pedestrian bridge at a subaway station upgrade. Micropiles were chosen for the project based on several reasons.
