A sheet pile wall was needed to retain a steep slope during excavation for a proposed sanitary sewer manhole. Client wanted to limit impact of construction as the area was next to a waterway. Chance Helical Anchors were determined to be the best solution.

The application of helical piles and anchors has expanded beyond lightly loaded and temporary structures to include medium and heavily loaded permanent structures subjected to both compression and tension.

A new trend is emerging within the construction industry green retrofits of existing buildings. Helical Piers and Micropiles are a strong solution they are installed at intervals around the perimeter of the existing foundation at affected locations.
